The 18th International Berlin Beer festival from 1st to 3rd August 2014
The 18th International Berlin Beer festival (Berlin Beer Mile) is taking place at the traditional area along Karl-Marx-Allee (2.2 km/1.36 mls) in the center of Berlin. Having started in 1997 this unique event grew up to be a highlight for everyone who wants to savour the variety of beer from all over the world.
About 320 breweries from 86 countries present their 2,000 beer specialties along the beer mile between Strausberger Platz and Frankfurter Tor. At the Berlin Beer Festival about 2000 types of beer from around the whole world are on offer. From A like “Adelscott“, past K like „Kilkenny“ till Z like „Zunft- Bräu“ everyone can definitely find one after their fancy.
The International Berlin Beer Festival is a tourist attraction where visitors can savor their beers surrounded by the architectural charm of Karl-Marx-Allee.
Each year a different beer region or country is in the focus of the event. Under the motto “Craft Beer – Artisan brewed beers” over 300 craft beers from the U.S., Italy, France and Norway have already been announced for this year’s Berlin International Beer Festival.
The organizer of the event, PRAESENTA Ltd. , and its non-material supporter, the Association of Germany´s Private Breweries e.V. , is expecting about 800,000 visitors and tourists from all over the world.
